Getting through one day would often feel like a marathon. 🏃♀️ I would spend so much time weighing my food, controlling everything that went into my body (I had a list of all these things I couldn’t consume), working a full time job, posing, obsessing over food, looking at the clock to see when the next time I could eat again was and let me just say….life was exhausting to say the least.
Living this lifestyle left me comparing myself to others, being so awful to myself with all the negative self talk, and this all came from the deeply rooted beliefs I had been holding onto.
“I need to count macros to lose weight”. Translation: Losing weight = worthiness.
The time and effort that went into controlling my weight now goes into simply just living my life. I choose to have fun and allow myself to live a life that is full of freedom and happiness. A place where food doesn’t dictate my every move.
I am not saying everyday is bliss AF… 🎶 (cue the Hannah Montana “Nobody’s Perfect” song)….
butttt what I am saying is that this can be your life too! It didn’t happen for me overnight but the more I work on my beliefs and rules around food/body/myself on a deep emotional level, the more I have discovered that there really is a place for sustainable transformation to happen and it’s beautiful.
