Hey love! I am so grateful you are here. My mission is to guide perfectionist’s to their happiness by ditching the diet mentality, stepping off the scale, and ending the battle with food and their bodies. I am obsessed with helping women rewire their beliefs around diet culture so they can feel through emotion, release the struggle, and live the life they were truly meant to live.
In 2016 I became a certified personal trainer. I was getting clients results, they were reaching their goals, but there was a piece that was missing. I knew there was an emotional component that I wanted to tap into and that is when I found Hungry for Happiness and became a certified food and body freedom coach. In this 10 month, 400 hour certification program, I learned that the internal healing must be done. It made sense why clients still felt unhappy after loosing X amount of pounds or whatever goal they had set for themselves, because the external world a.k.a weight loss, only gives us bursts of short term happiness. I wanted my clients to feel sustainable happiness across the lifetime. During this time, I was able to heal a lot of wounding around the relationship I had with myself towards food and my body, and started to understand why I used food and exercise as a drug. Throughout that process I learned that pain gets to be a beautiful thing and lessons and growth get to be extracted from our pain. I realized that for so long I had been numbing out with food, social media, and exercise because after years of dieting and over exercising I was so disconnected to my body. After recovering from 3 eating disorders I finally had enough of the diet culture BS.
So my love, here’s what I have learned through my healing. Happiness lies within us and we must feel our pain to heal it. There is no magical formula or diet plan that is going to give us sustainable transformation. I get it. I never thought I would be in this space today where thoughts of food and exercise didn’t control my life, but I thought wrong. When I stopped searching for external validation, released the control I was forcing upon myself, and started working from within I was set FREE. For a long time, being in my body didn’t feel safe but when I started feeling and processing my emotions on a deep visceral level, it wasn’t until then that I started to understand true food and body freedom.
